Riot acquire new team

Sun 7th May 2017 - 5:06pm Gaming Esports LAN

Here at Riot Gaming, we pride ourselves on being the leading European organisation for females in eSports. We've always wanted to expand further from all three of our Female Pro League teams in Halo and Call of Duty, and with Gears of War being an up and coming eSport with the Pro Circuit and more we found the perfect opportunity with our new team.

Drop a follow to our new all-female, Riot Gears of War team:

We spoke to Riot gaming owner, @KimmieRiot about our latest addition:

"At Riot Gaming we're predominantly known for our success and passion within female eSports and with that, we're very proud to announce that we are now home to the best female Gears of War team around! After seeing the growth in opportunities for females on this title, Riot were passionate about getting involved and finding a top team to represent us in this scene and we know they'll do us proud! After speaking with Ashley (YJeTeR) her passion for eSports and gaming was admirable and it's exactly these kind of strong female players that we want to help and have representing us. We're excited for the future and will continue to make our mark as females in the eSports world!"

We also spoke to team captain, Ashley also known as @YJeTeR_, take a look at what she had to say:

"Being a female in games is hard! I've proved myself throughout the years, especially during Gears of War 3. I was always playing, putting the time in, going 200-0 in GB ladders and securing 1st place in the playoffs. In addition to this, I've took part in a lot of online tournaments, beating out the guys, and still haven't lost in an all-female competition that had money on the line! The girls and I are looking forward to representing Riot under all female tourneys, and to bring them some W's!"

The girls will be taking part in the $500 @ProIGL tounramnent, 'Girls do it better' on the 13th May. We look forward to seeing what damage they can do under @RiotGaming, and we'll be introducing you to the individual talents of the team in the upcoming weeks!
